Best Thing I Heard Today

I had to pick up a package from the Post Office today. As I was walking to the customer service window I heard the postal employee at the counter tell someone on the phone "yes, they are good forever. Yes, you can use them forever." And then he hung up.

Laughing I asked him if someone just called to ask if 'Forever Stamps" were really good forever.

He started cracking up and said 'yes'.

There are so many days I'm glad I don't work with the public (and I'm pretty sure the public is glad I'm not working with them)!

The worst named nail salon in NYC

Well I think it is the worst....

Yes, you are reading it correctly - 'DMV Nail and Skin Care'. Really? And with the horrible drab gray awning and the nasty vertical mini-blinds, it just looks like a depressing DMV office. I mean who is the marketing person that came up with this?

Just a little post so there is some activity here. I should have some thing good post-reunion!

Totally Crave-worthy!

We finally had a Shake Shack burger and it lived up to the hype.

It is a well seasoned patty sitting on a super soft and buttery bun with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and some kind of special sauce.

Shake Shack is an institution in Madison Sq. Park. There are always huge lines, everyone waiting for burgers, shakes, and fries. We never felt a burger was worth a 45 minute wait - but now there is a Shake Shake outpost in the new Mets baseball stadium, CitiField.

The burgers are just $1 more and if you wait until about the 7th inning there is about a 5 minutes line. They are amazing! They are the first burger that is crave-worthy, similar to In-N-Out.

It was a little cool out still when we went to CitiField, so we didn't try the shakes - maybe next visit.

Anyway, I would definitely consider waiting in line at Madison Sq. Park for the burger - it was just that good!
